A 30-year-old female came to an Infectious Disease office because of a non-healing lesion on her leg. One month prior, she was on a two-week vacation in Honduras, Central America. There she remembers while wearing short pants, getting bit by many mosquitoes on her thighs. She explained that on one thigh there was a tiny lesion that would not heal, despite all the over-the-counter creams and hydrocortisone that she applied. She came to the office as she could feel an organism moving inside her.
